Belgian model Fanny Francois gets feature treatment in the inaugural issue of treats! magazine, a new quarterly publication by British-born photographer and publisher, Steve Shaw that aims to highlight the erotic and sensual.
Francois, who is most often goes by Franny, epitomizes the “erotica, sexuality, sensuality and emotion” the magazine is trying to capture for an elite audience, according to Shaw.
Paying homage to the female form, treats! “offers a tasteful high-end venue that can be left on the coffee table with pride. It is a fine art book that is also a collector’s item,” he says.
“Sexuality has become more embraced in fashion and advertising, but it’s a fine line between sensual, spontaneous and artistic versus manufactured, parochial and pandering. The way something is photographed is that line.”
The publication’s launch was celebrated by 125 VIP guests, including A-list celebrities and Oscar nominees, at a pre-Oscar party at the home of James Goldstein.
Oscar nominees Kevin Spacey, Dana Brunetti (producers, “The Social Network”), actor Jason Statham and model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley were reportedly among the celebrities in the crowd.
Acclaimed photographer Tony Duran shot the cover for the inaugural issue, and photographers Deborah Anderson, Gavin Bond, David Bellamere, Shaw and Ben Watts were behind the lens for other spreads.
Bellamere photographed Fanny.
Huntington-Whitley, who replaced Megan Fox in the upcoming “Transformers: Dark of the Moon,” will cover the May.
