Kasia Struss is a veteran model at 24, whose feminine wiles have graced magazine covers and runways all over the world. She shows her free spirit and uninhibited beauty in a new shoot for the inaugural issue of Transmission magazine.
Strauss, real name Katarzyna Strusińska, was born in Poland and is literally one step away from supermodel stardom.
She was hailed as one of the Top 10 newcomers by Style.com when she debuted on the runway in 2006, and is currently ranked No. 14 on Model.com’s list of 50 Top Models. Vogue Paris mentioned her in an article last year on the “30 Models of the Decade.”
At a willowy five-feet, ten-and-a-half inches tall, she’s been runway ready ever since she debuted in Oct. 2006 at Paris Fashion Week.
She walked for Louis Vuitton and Miu Miu. In fact, during Spring/Summer fashion week 2010, she was the third most booked runway model, behind Liu Wen and Constance Jablonski.

She’s worked the runwway for such brands as Marc Jacobs, Viktor & Rolf, John Galliano, Kenzo, Diesel, DKNY, Burberry Prorsum and Alessandro Dell’Acqua among others. Last year, she replaced Lindsay Wixson for Miu Miu’s spring campaign.
Her editorial work has been just as extensive.
She appeared on the cover of Vogue Italia with Lara Stone, Natalia Vodianova, Christy Turlington and Gisele Bündchen in 2007. And, she’s been photographed in Vogue international editions around the world.
But Transmission may be her most daring editorial yet. Photographer Dylan Forsberg traveled to Thailand last year to shoot Kasia au natural on an exotic beach. Transmission is distributed in New York City and posted online here.
