Noomi Rapace, lets it all hang out, at least above the waist, in a new video for the Rolling Stones’ single “Doom and Gloom.” She appears topless in several flash scenes during the mayhem of the four-minute video.
Rapace, a Swedish actress, is best known for her recent role in in the Sci-Fi thriller “Prometheus,” and in the Swedish version of the movie “Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.”
Director Jonas Åkerlund gets his money’s worth out of Rapace. She acts out several scenes in the video in step with the song’s changing lyrics. “Doom and Gloom” is ripped right from today’s headlines. It touches on everything from the financial meltdown to war and envrionmental issues like “fracking.”
Rapace’s scenes, mostly in color, are interspersed with black-and-white scenes of band-members playing the heavily rhythm-and-blues inflected song. It’s classic Stones with a pounding beat and driving guitars, according to TheImproper.
The Swedish actress flashes her breasts amid a visual explosion of scenes. She’s been on a role since starring in the Swedish version of “Girl with a Dragon Tattoo” in 2009.
She also starred in Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes sequel, “A Game of Shadows,” and her popularity has soared in Hollywood, since this year’s Ridley Scott fantasy “Prometheus.”
She has three more films due in the next two years including, “Dead Man Down” and “Knock Out” in 2013. She’s also been tapped to star again in a “Prometheus” sequel due in 2014.
