Kate Moss is ethereal and translucent in a new photo spread for Love magazine. The Tim Walker photos are Edwardian portraiture that descend from formal elegance to decadent disassemblement, with Kate the bare-breasted temptress.
Moss at 38 is still the reigning queen of waifish, heroin chic, the look that she came to symbolize in the 1990s. But age has given her a sense of grace and regal deportment.
The photo spread entitled “Waltz Darling” was styled by Katie Grand, who captures the contradiction of a woman whose sexuality can be clothed and obscured. Yet, just under the surface, lustful and seductive.
The range of backdrops and the alternating color and black-and-white images, suggest an otherworldly experience. Moss seems almost ghost-like and living different lives in different ages, yet interwoven in the fabric of life.

Moss is no stranger to Love magazine. She appeared last year in a fierce photo spread with model Lara Stone. Mario Testino, who Kate picked to photograph her wedding to Jamie Hince last summer, was behind the lens. Lara and Kate wore Stella McCartney and Prada.
Before that, Kate appeared in a special issue that featured eight covers with eight models, including herself, Naomi Campbell, Lara Stone, Kristen McMenamy, Natalia Vodianova, Daria Werbowy, Amber Valletta and Jeneil Williams.
Kate married Hince in July last year in an English country wedding that included such guests Sadie Frost, Jude Law, McCartney and Campbell and John Galliano. Since then, she’s showed no signs of slowing down. She was recently photographed sunbathing topless in St. Tropez.
