Alison Pill sent hearts racing among lucky Twitter fans who caught a glimpse of a topless photo she says she tweeted instead of deleting from her cellphone. Is that even possible?
Why would she had the photo in her phone in the first place? Nasty girl.
The 26-year-old actress was obviously engaging in the popular pastime of sexting her boyfriend and fiance, actor Jay Baruchel. At least that’s hopefully who she was sending it to.
Baruchel, for his part, took the whole thing in stride. “My fiancée is an hilarious dork. Smartphones will get ya,” he tweeted. “#imjustgladitdidnthappentomefirst,” he added.
Allison Pill Sexting Snafu
Allison Pill plays a tech-savvy journalist in HBO’s “The Newsroom.” But she’s challenged by cellphones in real life, which is how she explains tweeting a topless photo. Click to enlarge.
Pill plays a journalist on HBO’s new show “The Newsroom.” Her character is an associate producer of the nightly news, which requires some technical precision. But she’s all thumbs when it comes to deleting nude photos from her cell phone.
At least that’s how she explains tweeting a topless photo of herself. Just a mistake. “Yep. That picture happened. Ugh. My tech issues have now reached new heights, apparently,” she confirmed over Twitter.
The photo, which Pill apparently snapped herself, shows her lying on her back in bed from the waist up. She’s wearing black-framed geek glasses and, well, nothing else.
She quickly deleted the photo, but it’s gone viral on the Internet, much to the delight of her fans.
Alison also had roles in “Milk,” “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World,” and “Midnight in Paris.”
